Balavander Cosmetics is a small family business that entered the world of natural cosmetics and aromatherapy through the idea of an organic lavender plantation.
Today we can offer you a wide range of natural products according to the original recipe, intended for skin care and aromatherapy. Our products not only are they made from exclusively natural and certified ingredients, but they also come in ecological and biodegradable packaging, suitable for recycling and without the presence of plastic. In this way, with creativity and effort, we contribute to raising awareness of the importance of preserving the natural environment, as well as a healthy lifestyle.
A magical field of lavender
Working in the lavender field requires a lot of effort and sacrifice, mostly because almost the entire process, which starts with the removal of weeds, until the final harvest, is done manually, without the presence of machines or harmful chemicals. In this way, a real organic product from the fertile plain land is obtained, which awakens all our senses.
Throughout history, various magical properties were attributed to lavender, which is why people used it for various purposes: cooking, medicine, hygiene.
The ancient Romans used lavender essential oil in their baths, while the first Christian communities believed that a wreath of lavender on the house door protected against spells and evil forces. There was also a widespread and ancient belief that planting lavender brings good luck.
Due to their intoxicating fragrance and their healing properties, lavender plantations represent a real oasis in which all the senses can enjoy. We have witnessed that climate change has drastically changed the weather conditions, which has enabled lavender fields to thrive very well in our region.
Lavender and like lavender oil itself, due to its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, it is effectively used to solve various skin problems. It has an extremely positive effect on the reduction of inflammatory processes on the skin, thereby reducing redness and irritation. It is successfully used in the treatment of acne, pimples, psoriasis, eczema, insect bites and burns.
The healing power of this magical oil is reflected in the fact that, invitingly, it influences the increase of circulation and supports the creation of new skin cells, in this way the skin naturally establishes the necessary balance and manages to deal with these problems.
It is known that the smell of lavender flowers and lavender oil has a positive effect on the relaxation of the body, as well as the state of our immune and nervous systems. Lavender essential oil it is obtained in the process of distillation of fresh lavender flowers, where lavender essential oil and lavender hydrolate are obtained as products, i.e. floral water. On the other hand, infused oil, i.e. macerate is obtained by soaking fresh lavender flowers in organic olive or grape seed oil, where after a month the healing properties of the base oils are joined by the scent and healing properties of the lavender flower.
All this makes this oil special and magical.
"We realized that although we have all the conditions for living in a big city, we miss the time we would spend in nature. It all started from there. Now, in addition to the organic lavender field, we also have a workshop for natural cosmetics and scented candles made from soy wax. We use the lavender flower from our field to distill and obtain lavender essential oil or to make organic infused lavender oil. These oils find a place in our products as one of the main ingredients"
