We have all heard about natural soaps, and what about natural solid lotion or solid body lotion or lotion in bar form?
It sounds like something that doesn’t go together, but this wonderful eco-friendly product changes everything about the way we care for our skin.
We only have one skin and only one planet. Why not give them the best possible care?

Why should I use solid lotion?
By using just one solid body lotion, you’ve prevented at least four plastic bottles from ending up in the environment. Additionally, natural ingredients, if they do end up in nature, break down faster and do not negatively impact the environment like traditional lotions do.
Traditional lotions and industrial cosmetic products often contain a range of harmful ingredients. We have written about this and the historical reasons for the presence of chemicals in cosmetic products HERE.
When we say harmful, we mean that they are harmful both to you and to the environment.
You’re probably wondering how chemicals and synthetic materials from traditional lotions can pollute the environment when they are applied directly to the skin.
Great question, and the answer is quite simple. When a plastic bottle from a traditional lotion is discarded and ends up in the waste, it still contains remnants of the product that was inside. Over time, these residues begin to wash away and eventually end up in the soil, contaminating the land and groundwater.
The same thing applies to traditional shampoos, conditioners, shower gels, and similar products.
Harmful substances can remain in the environment for several decades or even centuries, continuing to pollute the surroundings long after you’ve thrown them in the trash.
Another interesting thing about solid lotion is its cost-effectiveness. Since it is highly concentrated and doesn’t contain water or liquids, you need much less of the product to achieve the desired result.
Because of this, the solid lotion will last much longer compared to traditional lotions.
Impact on the environment?
As we mentioned earlier, using solid lotions and generally natural cosmetic products reduces the negative impact on the environment by decreasing the amount of plastic and harmful substances that would end up there.
In addition to the fact that Balavander's solid lotion for the body contains no plastic, it actually comes in packaging that can easily be recycled or repurposed for another use. Our goal is to create as little waste as possible during production and packaging.
